Clear windscreen

Hi All with the cooler weather coming is there anything anyone can recommend to stop some of the fogging on the inside of the windscreen, now I know some of you will have some great comments about fogging up windows but really what I am after is answers to stop it.  Is there something I can clean the window with as I do not like driving around in winter with the AC on.

I believe you can buy FOGX or fog off? Something like that from autobarn 
Its made by the same company that does the rainX.

Try cleaning your glass the old fashioned way ... vinegar and newspaper.  The cleaner they are the less it will fog I'm told - could just be my dad telling me to keep my car clean in the way parents do. 

Also, invest in some window covers (tech term??) - they allow some airflow through the vehicle whilst driving and windows can be left down when unattended (at work if you are able). 

I've been told polishing your windows works (exterior auto polish).

Thanks for that leaving the windows down where I park wouldnt be an option I like my car more than that and it would probably rain during the day if we were lucky haha.  I will try the vinegar I do use it on some things at home already and the window does need a clean I thought if someone knows a good product could do it all at once.

Don't grab a rag and wipe them.! first mistake,,, all you do is smear the screen with whatever is already on there,!
What i like to do, is
Make sure its clean to start with,, as kity said a clean screen makes a big diff.
Don't drive with the window open, it's not going to help,, just going to let more damp air inside.
Turn the AC on,,, and the heater,  DRY air is what you need to keep it clear,,
Once clear, turn the heat down and find the comfort level whilst running with the AC on

I clean the glass with quality glass cleaner first, then go over it with Meguiars 'quick wax' inside and out, just make sure you keep wiping it until it's clear and the spray has dried properly.  Give it a day in the sun and do the outside again.
no more fog and no need to use the wipers above 60km/h.

I tired FogX and rainX years ago, I found it made glare worse, at times I couldn't see through the screen when driving into the sun.

Try a product called "catcrap"  I know it sounds awful but it works great to stop motorcycle helmet visors fogging in the worst conditions.  I've ridden through storms in winter and no fogging. 

It's available from most major motorcycle dealers or on-line.  You simply wipe on to a clean screen, then buff clear.  Lasts for about 4-5 weeks on my helmet visor.  I use it on my old ute windscreen as it doesn't have aircon and it works great on that as well.

Hoping a good clean first with vinegar and paper do the trick, even with the heat on it is freezing to have air con going in it in winter and if I put it on to clear it as soon as its off fogs up again, thanks for all the tips. And for the bike helmet one as we've had trouble with that too

Gotta to have heat on the inside of the screen to keep it clear.  As BHG said, use your AC to dry the air and turn the heat up to an acceptable level.  No need to be cold.

NayDmax ...Boy oh boy do I have one of the best ways for you !!!
Vision if you will a WW2 bomber pilot flying at night over Europe with a frosted / fogged windscreen and canopy, this former bomber pilot swore by this method of defogging a windscreen .. He would whizz on a rag and wipe the inside of the canopy / windscreen before flight and reckoned he never suffered from a fogged windows ever again .. True story .
 The smell, well that could be a different matter though ..

I find the wax as shiners is awesome for the outside of the screen..

Yeah but you're a bike rider and are used to rain on your visor.  My better half is always telling me to put the wipers on in the tintop, yet I can see better than on the bike most times

I used to use Bob Martins on the visor, it worked well
I tried these inserts that came out in the 90's that stuck to the inside of the visor, but after missing a braking marker at Oran Park and passing the corner at about 120 too fast, I realised they weren't worth Shit.

Rainx has and excellent product for each side of your windscreen. No affiliation but I never leave home without conditioning my glass and mirrors with them.

Thanks KB I do have the heater on but stays cold with AC on and if I turn it off fogs up again, will give a good clean and see how it goes.

As for whizzing on a rag I dont fancy dropping my pants and squatting over a rag in the cold haha let alone the nice smell but pleased it worked for someone a good ole fashion home remedy.

Do you have a dash mat, if not get one, it stops the gassy residue that leeches out if the plastic used in dashboards that hazes the window. Very rarely get hazy/foggy windows in the Patrol now I have the dash mat while the Jack always gets hazy

with a/c on, set to recirculate and heater on should blow aarm dry air round the car

There may be a problem with your heater ...turn the AC on, direct the air to the screen, turn heater up to MAX & you should be sweating in a couple of mins!

P.S. Don't forget that the heater works off the engine temp...so at first it will blow cold air until the motor gets up to running temp.

If not, getting it fixed would be my 1st priority....a fogged window/screen restricts viewing & is dangerous.
