Waeco 80 DZ

G'day everyone iv just purchased a waeco 80 liter I'm looking for info on other members who use the same fridge.what I'm after is just a temp setting they use that keeps stuff frozen and fridge section not frozen any input would be great cheers.

Hey Danbo,

I use one. Normally keep the temp around -1 to -2. But I have found that if you use only one of the seperators, you can run it around 0 deg.

Just depends really on the size of your frozen stuff. I dont keep anything greater than a few steaks and snags. Have you thought about sealing the meat in air tight bags? Ive used them and they keep the meat good without having to have the temp so low.

Thanks mate ill have a bit of a play with it. Yeah I was looking at one of those cryo vac things might be worth buying one you can keep meat a fair while like that can't you?

Yeah I think so. I keep the meat for about a week before its gone. I use it for space saving the most.
