While I didn't make it in my shed, nor was it today, I had a mate with a 3 phase welder, plasma cutter and a nicely stocked beer fridge knock this up. Took approx 3 hrs to build, a good hour of that was spent drinking beer and talking crap. Held on by 2 x U bolts and 2 x J bolts on the sides. I also use 2 x Just-straps on the furthest wheel loops that fix to solid mounts on the front chassis used for stone deflector. This stops dynamic rotating load being held by the spring bolt. I only use the straps when fully loaded with bikes.
Uses a 50mm square axle stub, flangeless hub and ISI weld on boss with 65mm hole cut into the weld on plate to fit the hub.
The whole unit rotates and locks at 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees, suiting any situation.
This spot was taken up by the spare tyre carrier, which means I now need to build a swing away carrier for the rear of the camper.
