fitting 2 new 105 Ah AGM's, and a DC-DC charger to the CT ready for some bush camping after Xmas.

Fitted a ceiling fan in the hard floor camper.

Replaced the lower bushes and the top rubbers on the Koni shocks on our Camp-O-Matic. Spent a few hours scouring bits and pieces with a stainless scrub pad (Curly something or other, I think) to remove the red soil deposits from previous owners trip across the Tamini desert. Tried a pressure hose, proper Spitwater one not a SCA special, to no avail. Scrubbing it clean with elbow grease appears to be the only option. I don't mind the red dirt so much, just the knowledge that we didn't put it there. IT IS NOT MY DIRT!!

I built a coffee grounds basher outerer, from a pice of 100mm poly pipe, an end cap and a piece of 20mm dowel with a piece of heater hose over it. The heater hose is a firm enough fit on the dowel, that no glueing is required.

And a couple of anti bird and butterfly nets for the veggie garden.

I turned a bit of rubbish into something worth while.
A while ago I bought a cheap bike carrier which sits over the spare wheel and found I can't trust it for a run to the local park, no chance for a decent trip away. It has been bothering me since, that I spent about $30 on crap.
Today I decided I needed something on my bench to hold a bike whilst repairing it.
So I cut the crappy bike carrier up and made it into a slide out mount for holding bikes.
Here is a bike on it.





Here it is without the bike.



And now packed away.



It slides in below the bench.

Bees do the pollination mostly. Moths lay eggs which become caterpillars, that eat ya bl@@dy veggies. Especially those white cabbage moths/butterflies. They have literally stripped my kale plants (yeah I know... who eats kale), no matter what I spray on them. I figured using some of the 60 to 80M of mesh, I got for $20.00 from a garage sale, was better than spraying crap on the veggies anyway.

I knew moths were bad because of grubs, but always thought butterflies were good guys, so there you go!

Yeah, I tried spraying for them, but 2 days later and more had hatched out. Yes I used 25mm standard grey for the arches, about $4.50 per 4M length at the big green place.

Most of the butterflies are good, but it's hard to only target the white ones. I'm pretty sure they are butterflies, but lots of people call them moths ?
