Assisted 2nd eldest to refit front end to his TD Astra that has been in the shed for a few weeks, finally had an offer from someone to buy it  :cup:and he become motivated to finish what he started weeks ago ;D, as they where travelling up from Kempsey(4.5hr trip) today to pick it up, no pressure Dad  ??? and maybe we should wash and polish it too???? ??? . Of course this has been on his to do list for about three weeks, love your kids,it balances out the desire to harm them

Spent yesterday, changing all the fluids and oils in the Torrie. Currently charging the battery and if its ready in time a quick drive to "clean out the cobwebs":)

Just put in a twin 12v socket next to the bed in the CT.

Made it from a flush mount twin 12v Cig socket I had and a spare electrical box I was going to use on the CT but didn't. Already had one twin 6mm cable run there for a single socket I previously had in that spot. Wired the sockets in series, so all good!

Moved the single 12v Cig socket to the back of the CT storage box with the isolator switch for the shower.

Oh, and had a few beers with a mate whilst sorting out what he wants to do with his electrics for his new 2013 SR Hilux.

Installed my false floor with small fridge slide, carpeted the same. Did most of the interior led light change over, be interesting to see the difference, except the glove box......f'ed if I can work out how to get to that light without pulling the hole glove box apart.

loaded new aussie jays camper, after fitting a rubber base to the floor, including toolbox floor. Filled 90lt water tank, then discovered crack in plastic pipe to tap, so temporarily fixed it until I get a chance to take it back to get the part replaced.

Trailer is finished. SWMBO helped me bleed the brakes. Welded the floor in. Now just to take it to the car wash and give the new floor a bit of a clean. Suppose I'll have to do some "real work" around the house now....

Packed most stuff in the camper ready for departure at 0 dark 30 this sat.  Gold coast bound on the annual pilgrimage. Dropped the oil on the prado and checked the pick up screen, (clean as a whistle).
Checked all the other fluids, etc. fitted a new towel rack to the bathroom.

Wasn't happy with how the drawer was secured in the Prado  (150 GXL) so with some gal tube to fit in between the tie down lugs and some threaded rod that will go from one side of the draw frame and through the gal tube out the other side of the frame.
The gal tube fits snug inside the draw frame
Locks down tight now but the draw just rubs on the lug. Still happy now with the stronger point.

Painted the 6x4 trailer wheels and planted a hedge of lemon tea tree to screen the nosy neighbours.

You could do as I have done and remove the tie down points and bolt the draws in. They are a 6mm bolt. Get some HT 6mm bolts at the appropriate length and your set..
But what I did in the house over the last couple of days was spend time with Little Image #1 building a new Lego kit. There were about 10 hours of labour for this one model.
Photos attached for you to enjoy.

Keep em well trimmed if you want them as a thick hedge. Leaves smell awesome.

I have finally put the flashing around the doors on the shed and moved the boat in there yesterday. It's truly now a "toy shed". Just need to get power and lights done and then a driveway $$$$$$ so its no longer a test of the rodeos 4x4 when I want something out.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Put some brakes on the CT and only tightened the nuts on one side (thought the 18yr old had done the otherside) so the wheel fell off during the test drive  :-[ . All good nothing broke, so it ended in a lesson on how to do a wheel change on the side of the road for said 18yr old.(just to make up for my mistake of not checking).

The led for the rear light turned up today so knocked up an extension post for the back behind the rear wheel carrier just wired it to a ciggie plug as I won't have time before the meet to wire it in properly.
