Sat for my standard Amateur license to day in radio. Think i went ok. Gave me something to pass the time over the last couple of months while locked away. Hopefully get the results in the next week

Made up this unit to hold all my gear and the desk folds away when the 200 goes to bed

That's very cool!
I owe, I owe, it’s off to work I go…

I have a license, foundation level. It is a very basic level with only 10w of power allowed. The standard gives me 100w of power and when and if I go for the advanced i can do 400w.

This is only a small amount compared to some, once you get hooked there is so many toys  ;D

Tried my hand at a bit of wrought iron work. With this and my forge I was thinking of knocking up some gates for a bit of pin money.

Been trying to figure out how to feed the wires from the roof mounted Solar panel to the engine bay/ Aux battery.
Just figured out how get the wires down through the snorkel to the air box.
Because it has a couple of 90d bends, trying to poke a piece of wire through won't work.
So, take off the snorkel head, get about 3Meters of light ribbon/string, make sure you fix it to something and drop it down the snorkel.
Now, start her up, a couple of revs, turn her off.
Open up the air box, and there she is the string.
Attach it to the wires and pull it through, and just like that the 6 B&S is in the engine bay.
Drill a hole, grommet on snorkel head, down out of the air box, grommet, connect to Aux Battery.
Jobs done.
Happy Days.

Yep, it was around 6 months of study to get to the point I was comfortable to sit for the exam, all was done remotely as well which was different. Next year I will go for the advanced ticket to get even more power
