Played around with my brand new 7x5 trailer.  Really happy with how it's turned out and that they've used all Alko stuff. Brakes, hubs, bearings, coupling and jockey wheel.

Think they might have missed doing a brake adjustment?  Handbrake had a 100mm of slack in the cable and the electric brake shoes felt like they were hardly touching at full voltage. So gave everything a good adjustment.

The trailer plug also had over 4ft in length and the 5 core and twin core (for elec brakes) wrapped in red electrical tape.
Trimmed the length up, fitted bootlace terminals to the plug as per Symon's sticky and wrapped it all in split conduit.

The first scratch is going to hurt...

Prepped the Caddy for the engine bay painting next Saturday.

Trying to mask off with a breeze, friggin paper stuck everywhere.

OH, a heap more bits in a nice shiny dark blue ready for the engine assembly.

400mm

So filled level should be about 1 cubic metre.

1.3m3 to be precise.  I'll build a 600mm high cage down the track too.

Weighs exactly 355kg, so I've got a 1 ton payload capacity.

Well folks it's been a long time coming but finally I have a shed, well to be more precise I have two sheds.  :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup:

The top shed as you can see below (internal photos) will be my workshop and storage and the other shed down on the flat below the house had water views during the aftermath of Slycoon Debbie will be for items which can be quickly moved. BIL lost his caravan to this flood in this shed as the ground was too boggy to remove said block of flats. It actually started to float around in the shed but thankfully was tied down so couldn't move far.
The house and sheds belong to my ex BIL which I am renting and will be in turn renting out my 2BR unit in town. There are a couple of mobile lawn mowers on site as well which belong to a neighbor hence the leccie fence. Finally can start to do some stuff.

And the spare Engel now runs 24/7

Yesterday I removed the old JVC removal head cd/radio unit and replaced it with a jvc removal head cd/radio/Blu tooth/usb unit.  ;D
32 gb of music at my finger tips, Blu tooth to the mobile phone & tablet, and, and, and
The back light is now the same colour as the dash lights and switches(it was red before and I couldn't change it and it annoyed the crap out of me).
Happy Days.

So where's the river normally Noel?
Way down the back there is a row of trees which is the banks of the Logan River. Normally just a trickle, more like a creek when at normal resting position.
Google Maps latest photos show the flood at it's highest. I have roughly outlined my place and the river banks have the tree lines.
Lucky there is another 1.5 meters till it gets into the house. For a once in 50 year flood I don't think I will be around next time.

Trouble is, the next flood might be the 100 year special.
I'd do what Bird has suggested.
See if you can get clay based fill, it works better in that situation.
And if the Council gets cranky, try and get it done real quick.
