Setup for a kids 13 th party in it...  Arrrrrrhhhhh

Luckily its in a separate room, the storage room. But lots of stuff had to come out into my workshop..

Looking the empty space i can see it setup with lathe and pedestal drill press etc.. They would be nice..

Or it was build to house the pool table etc..  But no pool tale has been bought.. Yet

I was wondering what to make the base out of, a big plate of steel instead of marble! Was a thought..
So i did a youtube search can came accross this one

http://www.besportier.com/archives/cool-transparent-glass-pool-table---nottage-design-g-1.html

And this one looks nice

http://dorsetcustomfurniture.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/the-new-pool-table-is-finished.html

Top one is steel

So if i make it with that design and a thick frosted glass top. It would be great hey..

Or would the balls roll too fast. With felt there is a little friction, none with glass hey.

With a glass top pool table, you could then put water under the top and have a fish tank under the pool top surface..

Put the new 3" Extreme exhaust on Nav this afternoon.
Didn't realise I needed to remove the turbo to install the new dump pipe until I had the old exhaust on the ground. Guess I should have read the instructions.
Oh well all done and dusted and sounds and drives nice...

did an injector pump drive shaft seal today. here's some pics

first up is to time the engine to number 1 TDC compression stroke

then pull the injector pump

then off with the drive gear

old seal removed

new seal fitted

then refit the drive gear and chuck the pump back on, next up was to set the injection timing, this is done by measuring the injection plunger stroke vs degrees of rotation of the crankshaft. so time to break out the old dial indicator and magnetic base

so with the pump refitted there's a plug in the head of the injector pump that you pull out wich gives you access to the injection plunger. dial indicator inserted in here to measure the plunger stroke

static timing specs for a 4JB1-t are 0.5mm plunger stroke at 12 degrees BTDC, i set mine to 0.55mm at 12 degrees BTDC. this advanced the timing by 2 degrees. i did this because i have the fuel rack screw and boost compensator turned up so its getting a fair bit more fuel than stock, and needed more timing to get a complete burn in the cylinders and not in the exhaust ports. also on a these engines - being a turbo diesel - the general rule of thumb is for every degree of timing advance it pulls 30 degrees out of the exhaust gas temps, high egt's is what kills these engines

very happy with the results, its heaps more responsive down low and has more of a punch in the back when it comes on boost now. also blows less soot when under load - good results

That would look cool  in the shed with toilet and hand basin to match

Now that's more than your DIY project (well mine anyway) could handle - I believe you might have some professional knowledge.   Well done!

Removed the Thermo Wax Advance timing Dooby from the Injector pump that was leaking diesel.
Then I stripped the the 5mm Allen key that holds the blanking plate onto the pump, >:D  had to send the cruiser to town for the mechanic to tap a new thread.
Anyway she is back and not leaking.
This morning I removed the Dooby from the coolant line and replaced it with a 50mm piece of 12mm cooper pipe with stainless clamps.

And I ran a 4mm wire from the Aux power outlet near the air cleaner to the cab for more accessories to run off.

Cleaned out the party. Room, returned all the storage items out of my workshop and back into the storage room..

Cleaned up, started my ride on mowers and took them for a drive.. Then started cutting up the rhs for my next off road trailer..

I used a broken skate board to help support the rhs while i cut it with the drop saw.

And thats all i have to say about that..

Spent the morning, stripping the old marine carpet from the Black Widow draws/fridge slide, then retrimed them with new marine carpet.  I was surprised how easy it was.  They look brand new and all for $80 in materials. ;)

Assembled a compost bin system which once it gets enough bacteria and worm castings will recycle and compost the dog droppings. Should be ready to compost the dog droppings in another week.  May not sound like much to most, but when you have a 8yr old English Mastiff at 82kg and a 7 month old English Mastiff at 65kg, the droppings are the equivalent of small dogs.
