KB, With all this rain, is Leslie Dam must be getting some inflow?

Yeah mate, I'm guessing it would be.  The Condamine has broken its banks but its catchment is different to what feeds Leslie Dam.  May have a run out there tomorrow to have a gander if we are not isolated on the other side of the Condi.

Shitty weather here in Gladstone as well. Was suppose to re-screw my roof today but the rain stopped that. Packed the wife & the kids & drove to Rocky to see Roothy. He was up there opening a shop that sells Roo Systems gear among other things. It's the second time the boy & I have got to meet him. I would love to sit & have a proper chat with him. I don't reaaly agree with the commercial side of thing with the mag but Roothy as a person I admire. I bet he has some stories to tell.
Cheers, Mike.

Canvas is seasoned and I'm thinking my only option will be to set it up in my neighbour's yard and sleep in it so at least I'm away from home

Yep, The dam rain stuffed our plans too. We were heading out to Wisemans Ferry to catch up with some good friends. Campers, beers, ski boats, beers, bbq's, beers, kids, wakeboards, wives, beers and a bloody good time. The winter sport season is just about to start up again and there goes the spare weekends....... :'(

Careful what you wish for, i know your area pretty well and you never know who could turn up..
What I am wishing for: well I'm a bit old for the tooth fairy, and a bit married and fat for a hot single backpacker, so having a middle aged mower man pop up to clip the footpath actually does appeal....

Yep the rain is giving me the sh#ts, not an indoor person. I'll have  crack at getting out to my work camp today. I've got a rv5 oztent  set up at work (cattle property), it's been my home for the last 7 months I've been working there and only has been shifted once, poor thing been through drought, a couple of close bush fires and floods. Hope it survived this lot of rain. ;D Mick

The gorge road is closed atm ... (flooded and HEAVILY damaged) it will be a while before it is back open again I think. The road up from Boonah is closed as well. I live 10 mins for the gorge, so if you want any details before easter let me know.

Jeepers, feel like driving 3 hrs in rain to mow approx  70sqm of turf? I can do it myself, but if you're bored and want a road trip I could make it worth your while. Grog, food, bed & small $ compensation offered....

Myswag price?

I'll be down at the bay on tuesday.

If it's not raining.

We were lucky enough to get away last weekend to Deer park at Imbil. Was a great test of the new van. This weekend it was meant to be Stinson Park at Christmas Creek but canned that and am glad we did. Started a couple of alterations on the new van but the weather stopped them being finished. There is always next weekend.

Yes..it has been crazy with the 2 boys.

There has been a positive however. I have been wanted a snorkel for the Hilux. My better half said there was no need for one! With all this rain she has suggested we get one just in case!

Hope we get some dry weather soon....

Yep I've got a dusty camper as well. Still got a credit for Kenilworth homestead from a rained out Australia day event. I've been told from a reliable source that march is going to be very wet all month except for about 3 days .. Great . qld wet one day flooded the next .
