So a short thank you to a person driving somewhere between my house and the hume dam yesterday.
As it turns out I had left my keys on my fathers boat trailer whilst we were on our way to the dam for a spot of fishing.

As physics dictates the keys fell off and I had lost them. After a frantic night searching for them, because clearly I could not remember where I had put them....
I dropped into the local police station in wodonga to ask if any keys had been handed in.  :police:

 ;D they were there. A little bit worse for wear as they had been driven over a few times, but still they were there.
My darth vader lego keyring mate was a bit legless though........

As this has my only key for the patrol (the other one is somewhere at the bottom of the lake from a prior mishap)
it was kinda important to locate them.

Anyway long story short, someone found them and handed them in. The local police were fantastic in NOT laughing at me and I have my keys back  ;D :cup:

SO THANK YOU GUYS AND GALS FOR BEING AWESOME!!

Maybe you should get another set of keys cut for the car.

Wonderful story there Evo!  I'm also glad the :police: know when not to laugh at hapless citizens and there is at least one honest person in this world.  Perhaps it's time to have another key cut?

Great result evo.  There are still some nice people who do the right thing.  Not many of us left   ;D

Daughter found $20 cash the other day.  Handed it in to the reception desk where we were.  Next thing we know the owner was giving her $10 for being honest.

It always makes me smile knowing there are more honest people out there.
The irony is that apparently the person who handed them in said to apologise for driving over them and hat they would pay for any damage! Crikey talk about nice! Ill be going to the locksmith on Tuesday I think to get another key.

Not sure how old your daughter is kingbilly, but that is a great thing to do, and very kind of the person at the counter.

as the local police were not allowed to give me the persons number, i left mine in case they drop in and said i would shout them a coffee or beer.  ;D

I was wondering what the crunch was under the truck wheels down Beechworth road this morning? Sorry to miss you but as you know we had to repair the jockey wheel and it took a few hours. Got a bit late to catch up as we wanted to get home.

I once helped out a backpacker at Mungo that had a flat, She left a note at our camp when she left saying she would "pay it foward"

I thought that whas a great idea, if you cant pay it back, pay it foward (ie- help someone else out in the future).

Yeah, I once lost my wallet.  It was handed to the police, I could not have been happier.  I would not have minded if they'd taken the money inside (not too much!), the trouble of replacing all your cards etc is worth a lot. 

Whenever I find something, I will always take it to the most obvious place someone would look.  Shopping Centre customer service area, police station or night club operator. 

It's terrible losing things, and the feeling of getting it back is incredible and everyone deserves to enjoy that feeling.
