Creek rises rapidly after 200mm downpour at chinchilla, sw qld and catching a few campers off guard.

The poor bloke in the Prado and Camper had a rough night.
He had helped 2 seperate 2wd vehicles get out of the black soil and rising river bed onto high ground, only to be left to fend for himself in the dark after getting them out.

The river rose just over 2.0m in 6 hours

We (Chinchilla SES) only sandbagged 2 houses and then helped 2 other (elderly residents) clean their clogged gutters and yards Sunday morning.
