This bird has decided to call the building site home, just wondering what type if it accurately and what could be done to help find an owner. It has a blue ring around one leg with "Kelly 15" on it

Try calling local vet's as people usually start looking there for lost pets.

and if a quiet enquiry doesn't reveal an owner, I'd be looking on Gumtree for a cage. Nice bird, great pet.

If it's not sick or injured, why dose it need to be caged ? Enjoy it for what
it is and leave it for others to have the same experience.

Nice looking bird, thanks for sharing.

Not at Box Hill at the moment Lost, job is on hold, closer to the city in Nth Melbourne. He is as tame as, if you walk out of the office he flys after you and lands on your shoulder

I think it's a juvenile Lorikeet. Ive only seen Golden Conures, but this looks like a native species.

Nice bird, it's amazing that he somehow escaped his owners.

If it's tame then it's been hand raised.  Someone will definitely be looking for it.  Personally, the local vet isn't your best Lost & Found for animals.  Head to the RSPCA website pronto and list it as Found.
