New from the North
« on: January 13, 2013, 09:47:41 AM »
Hi there,

Time to say hello to you all...!

We are from FNQ, have camped forever in various forms, but most often now find ourselves camping with a LC200 and a Cape York Explorer Extreme.

I'm the 'she', there is a 'he', and together we are sharing our lives with three kids (B 18, B 15, G 10), and two dogs.

Thanks and some very specific questions are to follow in good time!

Dee.

Oh, so it's specifics you guys want then?  :D

CYT is an 05 model, we purchased it pre-loved about 18 months ago, primarily for a trip through central west Qld to Uluru - it will stay with us for a while yet! jk you assisted in our decision to purchase, when we were initially researching and a google search led us here.

Kev,  we are located about an hour from Cairns, up the hill then head west!

I will add ourselves to the FNQ members list - thanks Teabag... and will attempt photo's in the my camper section when feeling more confident!

Thanks all and look forward to the fun and games (they've kept me entertained now for quite a while)!!! ;D

Hi MarDon, (Dee)

Welcome to the forum and our extended family, there are some other members in Mareeba and several more from other parts of the Tablelands, my self included. Like you I travel to lakefield for fishing and camping and always enjoy the outing.

As Teabag has posted, join the FNQ section, (if not already done so) and keep an eye out for some our get-togethers, we are a friendly bunch of people who get on well and enjoy the outdoors, a bit of bantering ( Toyota/Nissan thing ) having a few drinks and in general having a bloody good time.

cheers duggie

Thanks Duggie,

Will do...and sounds great!

I recall noticing the car in your profile picture parked at the Mba Airport a few times a long while back with a large Myswag sticker (?) or tyre cover (?) on it - along with your name perhaps?

Cheers,
Dee.

Welcome Dee and family.  Nice spot you live in.  Inlaws were at Atherton for some years.  Look forward to reading of your adventures.

Happy camping
