Mate I have it, the air command sparrow and am currently in Robe where temps got to around 43. It performed brilliantly. It was the major decision when I bought mine, I said no wife said yes.. I will never tell her but she was right. Also it's great to take the morning chill out during winter.

Obviously you guys have generators or love staying at CP's.
Saw an ad the other day for conqueror vans: they now offer 12v air con as an option for the measly sum of $7500. Would like to see the take up rate on that option

It's not that I love a CP but if it gets the family out in the Swan than its a good thing. With 3 kids under 10 at this point it suits. No gennie yet   >:D

No criticism intended. Badly worded comment by me. I hear you, that's why we take the 12v tv on longer trips, 2 kids under 5 are so much easier to manage. It is my intention to leave it behind once they get a bit older.

Mate, at the end of the day if it ensures that you and the family enjoy it more and use it more, just get it. You won't regret it. It is reverse

Incidentally, is this for a trailer you already have or an option on a new one? I see you are at the gold coast, and whether you really need it or not could depend on where you intend to do the majority of your camping. To be honest, if its mostly coastal in SE Qld & northern NSW I wouldn't bother as it never gets that cold in winter in these parts, and these style of vans have such great ventilation & air flow that even middle of summer they are pretty cool. As an example I got carried away when I got the GS, bought one of those 12v endless breeze fans. Well, I've only used it twice in almost 2 years. Never been remotely close to needing air con, but can understand the need, especially up Teabag's way in the humid heat of FNQ. Just another point of view, for us the hot water system & independent suspension were better value for money options for our intended use.

When's the delivery date? Not related to air con, but what options have you ordered? I have always regretted not getting a tap to the drawbar for washing hands etc after pack up.

Hey Luke, I nearly fell over when told by the salesman how much the air was... then I quickly decided that I didn't need it.. and of the many years camping and other campers that we have had we never had the need///

We are waiting for our air con to be fitted . Main reason we ordered one was so we could use the swan more in the winter
