Seat covers, what do you use and are they any good?
« on: December 16, 2012, 07:34:26 AM »
Hi all,
Looking for seat covers for the cruiser. Looking at cloth, neoprene, canvas. Not sheepskin as they will get really dusty and dirty and when you wash them they are never the same again. So let me know your preference. Thanks all

I got these from Repco for around $60, quick an easy to get on/off, only used for bush trips, cheap enough to throw away if they get covered in crap.

I owe, I owe, it’s off to work I go…

I have MSA fitted to the Patrol, http://www.msa4x4.com/Products/CottonLinedCanvasSeatCovers/Makes.asp

They are a large investment but so is the car that you fit to them, as a tradie I have found them great, snug fit and the kids have not been anle to beat them. Combined with a pair of sandgrabber mats it makes the interior almost bomb proof.

We bought these from Auto Pro about $140 from memory, their cotton canvas, fit well, look great and have storage pockets everywhere.

Had neoprene included when I bought the Pajero... they are expensive but I think you can get them online cheaper... they are great, easy to clean.

Had Black Ducks on my old Hilux for 6 years.  Still gong strong when I sold it.  Canvas, with a double panel on the seat base.

Expensive, the "L" code Landcruiser pack (1 regular bucket  and 1.5 Bench) is $368.

Msa. As has been said before, they aren't cheap but fit well and are comfortable. Bought a couple of the Msa air bladders and tucked under the seat cover to give us a little lumbar support as well.

I have heavy duty vinyl seats i imported from jeepland (USA). They repel water, dirt, scuffs, sand etc. They look good too. Only problem is when the roof is off and the sun's out they can get hot.

I have had 2 sets of these and rekon they are crap....both pairs came apart at the seam where the base joins the back rest part..
Bought them directly off wetseat and in thier defense they did replace the first set for nothing...but i wont get them again

I've had a set of covers from

www.msa4x4.com.au

For a number of years now. They are canvas and very cool when driving. Quality I believe is excellent.

I love lambwool on my arse when I'm sitting in the car.  Never get hot, never get cold.

Black duck are the best

I own a nursery and put wet dirty pots on my seats without blinking an eye

It also helps when you have two grubby little boys
