Does anyone use a Fuel Log App for iPad/iPhone.?

Was just thinking about tracking costs and mileage and wondering if anyone uses one. I know there are a few when you do a search, just after some first hand reviews.

I have an Android App on my HTC, called aCar and have been using it for the past 42,000 km's.  It works great, gives graphs for fuel price, L/100km, fuel costs, l's/fillup, Km's between fill ups, days between fill ups.  I find it very easy to use and gives me an idea of how the truck is travelling.

I was using Fuelly for iOS for ages. Only stopped because the figures were scaring me.

Have a look at Road Trip Lite. It's the free version and I find its great for storing & calculating fuel data. There is a paid version that looks at oil/tires/expenses etc, but the lit is enough for me.

We use Road Trip on our iPhones. There is a lite version but I forked out the $1.99 for the full version. Heaps of options and easy to use.

Try the free lite version.

Does the data also get stored elsewhere? In case phones packs it in, or you change/upgrade phone

I'm using a program on my computer called MyCar-Monitor, and keep backups elsewhere because technology is unrealiable, but the idea of having the info (on a phone) for on the spot check up sounds good!

I have used Vehical for the iPhone for the last 3 yrs. I find it excellent.  Data is stored with the iPhone back ups as when i changed from a 3GS to the 4s it copied all the data over when I synced it back up.

I use the fuel log app on my android, as the light/ free version it allows me to track 2 vehicles (my land cruiser and my truck), I find it pretty useful but it can be scary at times.

I use fuelly but would like to change to an android app that lets me input servicing details such as oil, bearing and filter changes as well. Does anyone use a good app that does it all?

Another one for road trip. I was using the lite version for ages, but lashed out the couple of bucks when I started to use another car as the lite version only records 1 vehicle

Road trip does servicing and other 'expenses' if you choose. I have mine setup with automatic expenses against the car like insurance and rego (so they automatically apply when they are due.. the app just assumes I pay them)

Thanks, can you put details in against service such as oil or filter type used or is it just a tick a box against oil change with date and odo?

I use aCar on my android tablet, it logs everything from fuel to servicing, will remind you when a service is due and also when over due, vomes with its own widgets and can export to and import from several different formats.

For iOS I used AccuFuel and Car Minder.

Burnsy,

each expense can be categorised, have an ODO reading, a cost, a payment method, a location (including GPS coords) a repeat (like my insurance and rego mentioned above) and then notes (which is freetype so put in what ever you like... brand of oil etc etc)

like i said i have been using it for a while and i am pretty happy with it. I use it to export to excel to keep all my tax records

road trip is the way to go, we have been using it to track our expenses, service costs, fuel and accommodation costs whilst we have been on the road (since April)
Its great and with the info allows us to determine how much we can expect to pay when going somewhere. We just drove from Cairns to Melbourne for Xmas and we knew what the cost was likely to be based on the info we had on the app.

For $1.99 you cant go wrong......dont even bother with the lite version unless your a tight arse
If the spelling and grammar are good, it's a post from Lil. If not, the mad Scot is on the keyboard ;)
