I just bought a new Storm Offroad and I have not seen the need for storage boxes under the seats but that said I did have some from my camper trailer that have fitted into the cupboards to hold gear.  With the range of plastic boxes out there it would be best to get the Storm then measure what you have and do a trip to SCA, and other stores that have plastic storage boxes with your tape measure in tow.  Not all the compartments in vans are the same size, even the models that look the same.  Its better to go for smaller boxes that fit neatly, rather than bigger ones that are harder to move around. ;D

Picked it up new in August after waiting 4 months for it to be built and had a few things added, annex pole holder, innerspring mattresses, full stove with oven, extra 12v powerpoints, Gas Truma heating, twin batteries, full annex, Independent suspension, payload upgrade, 5 stud landcruiser wheels, DO35v2 hitch, stoneguard, twin water tanks, offroad pack and galv underfloor.  I am still doing a few things to get it to what I want for bush travel, but its nearly there.  The main upgrade was the payload as normally they can only legally carry an extra 300 KG which includes gas and water and the upgrade boosted it to over 500KG.  Just filling the water tanks takes two thirds of the 300KG so it doesnt leave much for everything else.

Is it a new one that your getting?

Bunnings is your friend for storage boxes the ones we use in our storm are about 3/4 the size of a standard milk crate and fit together well under the seats

we have the Hws and the split AC so not much room left under there to be honest. As we're off to fraser for a mth in a couple of weeks I should revisit the space left for things not regularly accessed. Thanks for reminding me though

If you unscrew the lid of the corner where the water pump is there is a secret storage area in there.

We put our passports and some other secret stuff in there for our round OZ trip

It was mainly cause we were spending extended time on the west coast and were thinking we may slip up to Bali for a week or 2 as the flights from over hear are cheap

Other things that got hidden were
The spare key to the prado
The lap top if not being used for extended periods
A few pieces of jewlery

You laugh about passports but we did get the car broken into in Perth and Gen got her hand bag stolen with passport on her she was given a new credit card and new VIC license mailed out to her in 24hrs so it actually comes in handy

We just got one of those lock up money boxes they used at fares etc put it in then screwed the lid down

Yes if someone wanted to break in they could but most theives are opportunists so the more time it takes for them to remove some stuff the less chance is they will take it

Just be careful to pack it in well some nothing can hit one of the pipes going into or out of the water pump as you may get a suprise when you turn it on next if you have knocked a hose off
