The weather is pretty warm and high humidity. Got burnt on the first day which is not like me. I underestimated the power of the sun on this trip. We always penny pinch for accommodation in Bali so when we found this place we jumped at it. Three storeys, own pool, two bedrooms and three bathrooms. Owned by some German fella.  :cup:

We are paying $150 a night which is a bargain. Very clean, full cooking facilities, fan and aircon. Really close to supermarket, beach 5-10 minute walk, heaps of crappy shops selling anything and everything.

Got married at Gado Gado can't wait to get back

Taking the young bloke to Kerobokan gaol today. Just to show him what sort of prison system they ave here. Then off to see some monkeys at the temple. Apparently the government are charging $300 to visit one of their popular temples per hire car. So now you ave to go on an organised tour. This country is a big rip off. After 12 or so trips here I think it's time to go to Vietnam. Cost$40 to enter and leave the country. Time for our government to stop giving the aid. I'm sure they are enjoying the spare change we are donating.

Whats sad is that East Timor has not been supported to build a thriving tourist industry.  Some lovely spots and the country could do with the $$.

Top spot for a summer escape at Maubisse Posada Guest House;
