Webber Digital BBQ Thermometer ?s
« on: November 26, 2012, 10:03:23 AM »
With the genuine Webber digital bbq thermometer does the probe stay inside the meat at all times while cooking?

And does anyone have the non genuine one in the picture .And if they do does the probe for that one stay in the meat at all times. The reason i ask is that for the non genuine one pictured i read that if the probe is left in the meat while cooking it will destroy the probe, just wanted to confirm this with someone who may have the non genuine one.

Is there another version that you have that you could reccomend ?

I have a non weber one and it stays in the meat all the time.  I can't understand how you could get one that doesn't, how else would you know when the meat is ready?

Exactly what i thought as thats why i asked about the non genuine in the picture as on ebay there are a couple different sellers and one of them says that leaving it in while cooking destroys the probe,i thought whats the use of that.

I have the genuine webber thermometer and love it. Yes you leave the probe in, you can dial up the type of meat and away you go. I use it in both the old kettle type and the new Q one as well.
