I'll update this further as we expand our travels..... They reckon up past Moon Point is to die for.....

Well, i had the sh!ts we'd.... umm, make that I'd .... stuffed the dates for Kilkivian, so i was gunna do sumfin today, come hell or high water.
Up early, got some foods etc ready, gave the ol girl a quick kick in the ribs and a coffee around 6am. We were booked for a fuel top up at 8am, and we were on the boat and heading for the fuel berth by 7:30, hmmmm, things are looking up.
We topped up with 177 litres @ $1.59 per litre and after paying for that, i was ready to go home again...well, nearly.
By 8am, we were doing the posted 6 knots/no wash past the dolphin feeding and coast guard and once in the open limit area, it was 4,000 rpm and 26.5 knots..... arrrrrr, much better.
It a short time, we are at Inskip Point, but with a 7am high tide, no 4WD's were waiting for a barge.
Now, for all those that know or would like to know Fraser, we hang a left here and go around Big Mick, the last green beacon and are now starting our way up the Great Sandy Strait, the western side of Fraser Island.
Within about 7 or 10 kilometres up the strait, we turn ourselves to Fraser itself to drop anchor at a spot called Elbow Point.
We can't get in too close, as we need to be on the correct side of the drop off, otherwise, at low tide, we gunna have a whole heap of trouble.....
The now outgoing tide is running at decent pace, so we drop plenty of chain when we chucked the pick overboard.
The wife starts the coffee while i deploy our tender/rubber ducky. Geez I'm a handsome brute, with my movie star good looks.
A quick coffee, a longing look around at the beauty of the place and we head to shore. Geez, it always feels good to be standing on Fraser Island.
The stingrays have been busy and they pretty big too, as you can tell by the holes.
A pleasant walk around the beach, bit of a swim, got talking to a fisherman and he was telling us they were hand feeding the dolphins last night.
I caught a glimpse of the new baby dolphin called little squirt, which was in the feeding group last night.
A few boats were around, but not many, giving us plenty of space.
Back to the boat for some R and R and lunch.
It was during lunch, a small pod of dolphins called in for a visit... within about 8 or 10 metres of the boat, but every time i tried for a happy snap, the buggers dived down, so in this pick, ya gotta pretend you can see 'em
We headed down to the barge, gotta a happy snap or two then headed back to port.
I really wanted to do Kilkivian, but this an OK second choice.....
