Another one of those fatal collisions yesterday that you just often imagine could happen to you.
Happened on the Bruce Highway at Apple Tree Creek, Queensland. Apparently a car was stopped to turn, semi behind the car had to brake, car behind semi collided into the rear of this semi and another semi rear ended this car, squashing the car between the two semi’s. One dead! Obviously the full story has not been released, so not sure who is at fault. But there are a lot of turn offs on the highway where large vehicles have no room to get around safely. Mind you this collision was in an 80 zone, but I suppose 80 is still pretty fast.
How many times have you been stopped on a road/highway and see vehicles coming up fast behind you and all you can do is hope they stop in time.
And not saying the semi's were at fault here, but bloody hell there are a lot more travelling on the Bruce Highway these days, and espicially in the day time.
