Cleaning tonneau cover
« on: November 12, 2012, 06:08:02 AM »
Hi,

What do people use to clean their soft floor covers?

Just cleaned the camper up, and now the top is looking a bit dull! I don't want to accidentally kill the waterproofing.

What material is it?

NOTHING harsh, just soapy water works for me.

Hi Guys,

A lot of the materials used to make tonneau covers has a UV coating on so it will last longer outdoors. Using stronger solvent cleaners, degreasers etc can strip off this coating. So Lost's suggestion is spot on, mild detergent and warm water is the go.

Thanks guys, I thought I would be restricted to basic detergent, but just wanted to check.
