Trailer Mechanic - SE Suburbs
« on: November 11, 2012, 05:13:29 PM »
Hi Swaggers

Can anyone suggest / recommend a good trailer mechanic in the SE suburbs? Please not Trailer Repair Center or Australian Trailers. Had a shocker of an experience with both of those recently on my boat trailer.

I am considering using a mobile mechanic because it's not a very big job. Any thoughts?

Cheers

Look up Eatmydirt on here - Kiwi. Click Here to message him

He is still doing work and plenty of people here have work done by him.

What do you need done, if its something as simple as new bearings or the like ,maybe a helpful Swagger can help out and show you how its done and then you can do it yourself nest time

Good catch...  :-[

Mine is a fairly simple service. I want to replace the bearings on both sides and check the axle and other moving parts. I don't have brakes, so it's fairly simple stuff...

Happy to pay a pro, but I love this suggestion. :)

Unless you use a dealer, why not take it to your mechanic?  Bearings, run a spanner/eye over the trailer plus a light check .
Any workshop can do that.
