I've got an idea, would this be helpful?
« on: November 11, 2012, 06:54:24 AM »
We've got folks joining on here at a rapid rate, me included a few months back and there is a thread for nearly everything.

However, we don't have a thread dedicated to who we are as such. I had this idea years ago in a motorcycle club i was in and it worked well. Would it be helpful here or a waste of time?

I'll give it a go and if it works out OK, so be it, but if its not well received, perhaps the Mods can remove it.

Just copy and paste my profile and fill in your own details if you are interested.

Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"

And the fact you had to ask if we had an introduction section, just shows how much we need this.  ;D

BEST ADVICE I'VE EVER HAD. Don't listen to that little voice in your head 90% of it is just negative crap
ADVICE TO NEW CAMPERS. Don't go out and buy everything on that first trip, buy little bits at a time, and every trip write a couple of things that would be really useful.

If I WASN'T CAMPING, I'd be enjoying life with my wife and kids regardless

BEST ADVICE I'VE EVER HAD. You're here for a good time, not a long time.  And "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, drink in one hand, chocolate in the the other, totally worn out and proclaiming. "Wow, what a ride!"

ADVISE TO NEW CAMPERS. Being born again campers, one thing we've discovered is a list is a wonderful thing.  And to rethink how much you actually need.
Cheers
Vanessa

$150 Jackaroo + $1600 CT = One helluva happy family!

"Got my toes in the water,
ass in the sand,
not a worry in the world,
a cold beer in my hand,
Life is good today, life is good today"
