It has been brought up once already on this forum, and I have no info or knowledge about it myself. Then again the OP may have been referring to something else altogether!

Has anyone tried or looked at these the DeLorme inReach 2-way satellite communicator with GPS. Looks to be a good bit of gear. I also notice Kimberley are going to be selling them and that they will also be Apple friendly (iPad, Iphone & computers)
