We had one for our boat.  It never got stolen........

They seem to work well, even if they stop the thief from looking at yours and going to the next one.

I used to put it on the trailer at the boat ramp to stop the trailer disappearing when were were out.

Thanks Fun police,

We figured if they really want it little will stop them (that's why you insure them), but if we can put off the opportunists then the job is done.

I just bought one for my Goldstream it was an E model as I have Landcruiser rims on the Storm.  It was $100's cheaper than most other places I tried and the Goldstream hasnt been stolen YET ;D ;D ;D

I got it through Whitworths Marine https://www.whitworths.com.au/main_itemdetail.asp?cat=138&item=91175

These guys are now selling them cheaper http://www.australiandirect.com.au/shop/caravan-camping/wheel-clamps/1313?gclid=CMKZkJmOgrMCFYFepQod2FkAHA

Hope that helps

We have 2.  One for each wheel.  Gotta make it as difficult as possible AND the longer they take onsite at my house to pinch it ... the better their chances of getting caught in the act.  We went a bit overboard with our security when stored at home.  Every bit helps I reckon.  Out on camping site though, they are going to have to pack it up to pinch it and that's gotta do their heads in ...  ;D

Kit_e

P.S.  At home, chains, klamps, everythings locked, Cuda Alarm (no longer available) ... MySwagger down the street ... dogs everywhere ... they are going to create a ruckus if they want to pinch it.
Out camping ... pack it up ... find where Shit goes ... figure out what you are doing ... 1 hour later still doing it ... I reckon they'd leave it there and just pinch the booze, valuables (to me that's my comfy chair) and fridge.

Would be curious to know if many get pinched from site, they would have to be keen.

Hmmm, must remember to go around to Kit-e's place, but not to steal their camper, but just to move it or turn it around.....

Just so i can screw with ya head.....  lol  :D

I would be more inclined to use it at a caravan park or similar as a sign to others to bugger off and don't even think about coming near this thing with any intent to steal.

I guess I am lucky at home as my camper is behind three roller doors and a locked gate and well out of view of the public.

However I always worry about leaving my camper at a public place like a van park or NP and coming back from a drive or walk and seeing it gone.

Only $130 odd bucks - might be worth the investment (although if it is largely a deterrent, I could make one up out of fluro tube boxes, sticky tape and some yellow paint?)  ;D

G'day i bought one after my camper was almost stolen off my front yard, just sheer luck i disturbed them.
Not sure where in sydney you are but i got mine from the distributors out St Marys way.
When i got there they sold it to me for quite a bit less than they quoted over the phone probably cant quote less than their outlets sell them for.
I had to get the largest one due to having the same tyres as the patrol on camper

Thanks for the imput everyone :D

Our Camper will be kept behind locked Colour Bond gates. So it won't be able to been seen from the road. We just want to use the Klamp it to make it that little bit harder.

Do what we do.....

One of my mowing clients has a 6 x 6 tristeel with nothing in it, except my camper trailer.
Your bound to have someone nearby that will have a free garage. (target old people without a car)

I offered to mow their grass for free in exchange, but they still pay me anyway. (i did it again this week)

The funny thing is, i'm so sure of its safety, when mowing this week, i didn't even put my face against the window to see if it was still there.

I did however, let them know i'll be picking it up in a fortnight as we prepare for Fraser.

the other good thing about old folks, is they are always home too.

I use one when the camper is at home either in the driveway or in the garage. It is too bulky for me to consider taking the klampit on the road.

I have no choice but to leave it in the driveway, visible to the roadway traffic.
I always park it with the tailgate facing the road, in the narrow driveway with rubbish bins etc behind it, then remove one wheel.
