Hey Bruce I used to work with a couple of Columbian guys who shaved their heads with those things!
I'm sort of curious though, now that you've brought it up - I went for the beard about 12 years ago, would have been not long after I saw you last, but shave the neckline.
Dazzler mentioned Proraso, seriously do yourself a favour and chuck the Gillette shaving cream in the bin - it's just soap and water. A can of Proraso isn't cheap, I think I paid twenty bucks, but the bloke at the Shaver Shop reckoned I'd get a year out of it (it's a big can, the size of a big can of spraypaint) and so far I reckon he's probably right.
I also bought a top shelf Panasonic electric shaver (better technology in them than any other electric shaver), but I'm still coming to terms with it... actually, I think I just like a blade shave. I do my bonce with the blade too, when I can be bothered, and when it's not too hot - hot days with a shaved head are no fun when you sweat like I do
A No.1 comb on the clippers is good though, leaves enough hair to wick the sweat away.
