The Autofridge in our camper is on a slide, but I got the lid hinges moved from the long side to the short side (in factory), so that I can open the lid and still get some stuff out, without having to roll the fridge out. Just makes life a bit easier......

Lid hinging and control location are a couple of things to consider. The ARB and Engel lids are hinged differently.....ARB is hinged on a short side, and Engel is hinged on a long side.....ARB controls are at the front, and Engel's are at the back.

Just IMO I would be avoiding having a freezer like the plague.  The energy consumption just sky rockets and your power requirements to supply the juice just explode.

I was pretty happy, I went away with the girlfriend for two weeks with no resupply available with a CF-40 and took extra food home!!!

We have a 60 in the car and a Dual Zone 50 in the camper. Like others I tend to not want to use the freezer due to the high amp use but as you can remove the dividers when needed I can use it as a fridge or fridge/ freezer.

The only time I tend to use the freezer part is when we are doing lots of K's and I can get a good charge into the batteries. I can get three loves of bread in the freezer section and as it goes of up here in 3 days max from the heat it works for us. I run the thing flat out until I get to camp then turn it down to -5 or close and it then takes a few days to defrost the bread. Once the bread is used I then take out the divider and use it as a second fridge until I get to a shop again and stock up.

This is not a what's best comment but what  do like about the Waeco Dual Zone (and I'm sure others are the same ) is that the evaporator is only in the freezer area which makes keeping veggies ad fruit etc really easy as they don't get frozen by touching the sides. Something I would look for again when or if I need a new one.

Haha, I don't mind budgies but I do find them a bit boney, but the flesh is so good!

In all seriousness though, there is no need for a freezer when away.  Just use a vacuum seal machine, they can be bought cheaply and your meat will last over 2 months on refrigeration.  Chicken does not last quite as long, but if you leave with it frozen in a vacuum seal bag, it'll go for at least 2 weeks.

TRUE!  I do admit, an icecream during a very hot day is something that I can desire.  Although, I do find having a ice cold beer a decent alternative!!!!
