Yeh the igniter wire is plugged in hence it will attempt to ignite. It's the circuit that keeps the gas open that's come unplugged if its the sane issue as mine. Sounds like it is but of course it may not be.

Ah OK that makes sense now, thanks again.

Thought I would add a few pics of the Redrock setup...Just returned from a trip across the Nullarbor.
The Unit has never let me down, nothin like a nice hot shower in the middle of nowhere. :D

Just a quick update on the issue I have with my unit, Jay from http://ausj.com.au/index.htm has arranged to send me a replacement ignition module no questions asked, which is great considering he doesn't stock the unit anymore.

Hopefully I can fix the issue and have spare parts too, thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions.

Good stuff thats what he did for me too. He had to cc me into an email to the chinese man first though ;)

So hopefully like me you will pull it apart to put the new module in, find the lose wire and as you say have a spare module :)

Just a quick update, I managed to pull the cover off and found the problem. One of the leads was barely connected.

Pushed it back on and hey presto good as new, thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions.

Where do I find more info on these Redrock units?

A search on Google found no manufacture site for info.

Who is re-selling these in Aus as well?

Redrock was just a brand the importer put on his units, he does not import them any more. But the same unit sells on ebay etc under various different names.
