Um... used my toast maker mesh side down. Bloody brilliant.  Thanks.  Not wanting to sound stupid, but these things could use some instructions. Just a simple 'this side down' would suffice.

It's gone into the discard box, joining the Treg hitch that was on my CT when I bought it. But not for long. What a useless piece of kit!

Feel free to toss it in my shed, I love my tregg hitch, simple yet effective and would happliy stick one on my box trailer as well, would be a good way of stopping others from borrowing it >:D

How about an 'instructional' section - so trained toasters can post up a youtube 'how-to' video, amoung other things.  ;D

Obviously VERY.  With a 50 / 50 chance of getting it wrong ... there is a 90% chance most will.

How about an 'instructional' section - so trained toasters can post up a youtube 'how-to' video, amoung other things.  ;D

Sounds like it could be a winner.   ;D

No mate, you're not the first!

I'd also like to point out that it has been well documented that highly intelligent people and those with an insanely high IQ often have trouble with quite simple and menial tasks..........

El cheapo air compressors.. years back on the return from our first trip to Moreton Island ..plugged in the new compressor to air up.
TWO hours later as the barge was pulling into the Port at Brisbane and only two and a bit tyres reflated to highway preassure  ( only small tyres on a Diahatsu F20 Scat ), found that the plug had melted inside the cigarette lighter socket ..had to cut the wires to turn the compressor off .

The colemen 4 slice bread warmer, I don't know how they think a near solid plate of steel with a few small holes sitting under 4 vertical slices of bread is going to toast the bread, Plus I cant get the damn thing to fold flat so I have to pull it apart each time.

Then it's a pita >:(  to put back together again when I forget how crap this thing is at toasting bread, maybe I should just toss it out

Bought a spork. Spoon at one end, fork at the other with a serrated edge. Useless bloody gadget. Will go back to knife and fork and give myself an uppercut for good measure. Was made in Sweden.

Get 'em hot, liberally marg up the outside of the bread and the inside of the iron, lay one slice, apply filling, lay the other slice, close, trim edges, place onto coals, turn regularly, enjoy.........beautiful.......

No worries Heath - maybe whilst they were at it they could put a "Caution - Hot" sign on it too!

x2 - just hate the hot tomato juice! At least it doesn't have "Caution - contents may be hot" inscribed on it.

It's a known fact that heated tomato is the only substance in the universe hotter than the sun, and also that it retains more heat than the concrete barrier around Chernobyl.

There is an underground movement working on using heated tomatoes to replace coal fired power stations.
