At first when I read this thread I thought, here we go again. Blah blah blah. The old why would anyone buy a 200 series. Reading it again I don’t think that was the intention.
We drove various models and makes just over 3 years ago, and then drove a 200 series. End of story. Worked hard all of our life and saved our money and so we bought one and love it. We only tow a camper trailer, but wanted a vehicle that would tow anything when we decide we want an off road caravan.
After 125,000 k’s absolutely no regrets. Still drives like new. We can drive on extremely long trips or very rough roads/tracks but still feel refreshed at the end, such is the comfort of a 200. And we treat it like a 4WD so it has scratches etc. We are getting our money worth out of it!
Like campers and caravans, everyone has a different opinion and need and also affordability. But remember, life is too short, don’t get too hung up on costs, if you can afford it, go for it.
