What do people think of the Tambo Cooper?
« on: August 28, 2012, 09:41:14 AM »
There's a Tambo Cooper for 11k near me.

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-view-details.html?adId=1006121871

I feel it's a bit pricey, given a new one is 8k, but it has lots of extras and it's only three years old.... And it already has my hubs.

What is the general opinion?

Thanks in advance for comments.

looks well used for 11k.

Buying new wouldnt be that many $$$ more than described in the add with the "extras".

Maybe keep looking especially if you want more canvas, like annex walls and maybe even a 12v system done by the previous owner.

I would think that the seller is trying to get every sent he has spent on the unit. I sold my cooper for around half of that and it had just as much extras fitted. Sure you cant unfortuantly buy them anymore but I am sure others will also appear on the market.

If you wanted to view it and wanted a second opinion let me know as its just around the corner

I reckon you would need to inspect. Tambo is a great product but once it had left the factory who knows how it has been treated. Also the extras canvary greatly in quality too.

Just spoke with the bloke selling the Tambo. When I told him that he was asking for more than a new one, he pointed out that I can't buy a new one, and that his has had lots of work done.

Sunshine> thanks for the tip. I've messaged you (no, I don't work on an oil rig).  ;D

I have just sold our Tambo Cooper for $10000, it was built in 2006. Yep, thats more than I paid for it 6yrs ago but it had been modified like no other Tambo. It had been every where and could go anywhere and was a much better trailer when we sold it than when we purchased it. Bargain price I reacon.
IMHO, for the price, Tambo Coopers are the best ava.
