Just looking there again today and notice that they still have the solar deals going for auction. Now they have been selling these for about the last 18mths and there has to be people out there that have real world experience with these system bought through grays.

Just wondering if anyone on here has taken the plunge and was it worth the supposed risk?

reading about the "add on costs" for me it would more than double the current higest bid price.
nearing $7,500 to complete the sale and have it installed (15% greys charge + Q2 solar charge + 10% gst on the lot

Yeah I know the on costs add up but $7500 is still cheapish for 5kw. But the question is has anyone done it? Lots of negative here say but no definitive answers. They have sold quite a few over the last year or two so someone must have first hand experience. Or maybe people do and it had been a waste of money.
Not that I am lining up to buy one just interested to see if the money has been a wise investment.

Dont know about Grays stuff , but re solar on the house got that . l have 4.5 KW on the house with
20 panels . This is running slab heating , hot water & all the other stuff to run a house , it makes about 20 KW a day . Fed back into the grid & with the rebate at present l am about $2000 in ccredit on power bill . The up front investment is a bit steep , thoughit will pay itself off in 4or 5 years who cares . l really enjoy sitting in the sun in the backyard sipping a coldie & watching the panels suck up the sun . Hope that helps a bit
