Equality in reporting
« on: July 02, 2012, 02:58:36 PM »
You can imagine the uproar there would be if a bloke did this.. and infact it did in the old Hinch "SHAME FILE" days.. mate of ours did it, and made front page of all Sydneys news papers... Dont see any of that happening here infact, it needed the court approval to become public!!!

The father of 10-year-old Daniel Lindsay Hassen doesn't know where his son is and hasn't heard from him since April.
Daniel is believed to be living with his mother, Bronwyn Tombs, though the Federal Magistrates Court ordered in May that he live with his father in the Coffs Harbour area

You are correct mate.
The double standards are appalling.

I am helping a client tomorrow dealing with the same issue, even though there are court orders in place it seems that no-one is willing to act on his behalf.

I reckon the problem is the archaic laws that are in place.
This allows the women to do this.

It is about time the laws were changed and brought into the 21st century.

I too noted how unusual it is to see reports such as this. There is a huge inequity in many cases, but in most cases of family law, where there is conflict, there are no winners.
