My offsider was a farmer - first up I thought we would pop the poor things head off when we pulled it out by the horns then it seemed really weak. Farmer grabs it and drags it really roughly to its feet and then it up and ran. He reckons they can just lay there and die of shock if you dont get them moving. cheers
Sounds about right. They get this "I'll just lay here and die" attitude, stand em back up and they run off again, leave em there and they'll be good on their word fairly often.
Well done getting him out in time, how big was he? Bit hard to tell in the photos, I'd hate to be trying the same with the buggers at home, I'd be needing the Colorado and a chain, a few of them are over 120kg, one around 150kg, I don't think they'd get down the hole, and if they did wouldn't survive long hanging from the horns.
