That would wake you up.

More importantly why are they on the hoods in a crit and not the drops :)

The trouble was, I didn't know what the problem was, when they started diverting all over the place.  :o  It helps if someone yells out loudly.............Rooooooooooooo's ::)

I have never been in the drops in a Crit, unless I'm in full gas mode. Even chasing semis down the hi-way at 100kmh, I was on the hoods.  ;)

I send an email to Merida Australia asking if there was any stock of the Scultura 5000.
His answer was negative, completely sold out for the year. :-(

Is the 5000 the Bahrain yellow/black version?
I'm looking to upgrade and was looking at the Endurance 4000 or 5000 but don't want a matt finish paintwork.

Correct, it's the McLaren Bahrain version.

Correct, it's the McLaren Bahrain version.

Saw one of them in a bike shop on the weekend.  Asked about it and it was one of the employees bikes.  Great looking bike in the flesh.  Mind you this one had a decent carbon wheelset on it also.  Now got me looking at either the 4000 or 6000 version as an upgrade as they seem to be fairly well specced.

So apparently there will be a handful of bikes coming potentially in November.  Sales reps have been telling bike shops not to expect too much until June 2022!!!  Full bikes, components and just about everything else.  They mentioned Selle still haven't resumed production since being shut down at the start of the year last year.

But found a 4000 in the right size.  Deposit put down.

It's odd, I have visited a few bike shops of late, selling the same brands, some have no stock whilst others have heaps of stock. Supply seams to be who you know not what you know...

Facts don't lie though, there's a sh!te load of bikes being imported, let's hope they all get used

A few shops had mentioned that the stock due next month is majority already pre sold to customers.  There still seems to be bikes coming in but I'm not sure how many will make it to the showroom floor.

Our local Trek shop is selling every and any brand he can get his hands on. Pre Covid, most of these brands he would openly poo poo because they weren't Trek. Have to laugh that he is now relying on these brands to keep him operating now. Wonder what his stance will be once Trek supplies become readily available again? Hang on, I think I know already.

My LBS is independent but sells Giant mostly. He has stated that the manufacturers want all or nothing. If he signs up to be just Giant he becomes factory supported, signage, stock etc. Because he won’t, the other dealers get bikes before him all the time. I had to drive across town for 2 kids bikes which he missed out on the sale because he couldn’t get them. I’m guessing your part of the world might have similar structures in place.

New bike day today.  Took it out for a quick spin.  Pretty happy with it and a few kg's lighter than the gravel bike.

Great.
How does it ride?
I might be lucky. My bike shop might have a Scultura 5000 in September...…
Fingers crossed.

Just got a reply: they might get the Scultura Endurance 5000.
Not sure what to do, take it wait for the Bahrain version next year.

Buy both, that way you can ride now and by the time you get the one you want you'll be able to see the other one for almost the new price.

Haha, it's an 11-30 cassette and a 105 GS RD.  Dork disc is still on as I haven't had a chance to take it off or put my other wheels on.
