Very sad, news today.
Police have recovered the body of a 37-year-old woman who fell 60 metres off a cliff at a popular tourist spot in Western Australia's Kimberley.
The accident happened yesterday at around midday (local time) at Mitchell Falls in the Mitchell Plateau, 350 kilometres north east of Derby.
The area contains many cliffs and is a difficult six kilometre return walk from the nearest camping area.
A helicopter pilot phoned police to report her fall.
It is believed she was there with her husband.
Police from the Kalumburu station camped overnight at the spot and are now working to formally identify the woman.
