A good AUSSIE company that deserves a Plug
« on: June 11, 2012, 10:59:21 AM »
Hi Team,

Sadly less and less frequently do we come across companies that impress us with their service (shame really).

However these guys get my vote! They're called VALO.COM.AU here's the story.

I needed ;) ;)  a new set of driving lights for the tug so started my research as we do when parting with the hard earned. Eventually I came across Valo (after nearly settling on some lights on eBay),and when I saw they had Aussie contact details (QLD) I thought I'd give them a call.
Low and behold my call went through to voicemail, typical! I thought.
What happend next is what was not so typical. About an hour later my phone rang and blow my socks off but it was Dee from Valo, after apologizing  for missing my call and the length of time it took to get back to me, asked how they could help. After a good half an hour of her answering ALL my queries, I hung up without ordering any lights, but armed with information (that checked out), and told by them to have a good look around as it was a good deal of money I was looking at investing and I need to completely be comfortable with my purchase ($500+ is a lot for me and many of us I'm sure).

Long story short after 3 more phone calls, a product demonstration and run down on correct installation I happily parted with my hard earned and purchased a set of HID driving lights off them. They work great and add a little Bling to the old tug too.

It was great to have professional and old fashioned service, the type where you feel like the only customer, you remember that feeling I hope.
Thanks Dave and Dee.

That's my 2 cents!

No worries on the plug. Glad you got great service.

Isn't it a real shame that that's the exception, rather than the rule. Sad really.
sad that we put up with Shit service. Sham that its all too normal and shame that we need to plug one good shop, instead of just warning against the bad ones.

Glad your happy with the lights.
Glad that you recievrd great service. Perhaps many others can learn from this?
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

Just checked out the website. Their LED strip lighting looks the goods. I would have been better off getting a few 600mm and 1200mm strips from them, than going down the path of buying eBay rolls of LED and stuffing around for nights on end making up my strips.

Worth a look for that lighting application i'd say!
