« on: June 03, 2012, 08:54:32 PM »
Hi, I have not been to far north before and just wondering how cold it will be a night. More so for my young boy, should I pack winter pj's, jumper and tracky pants???? or will it be more like summer nights????

i lived in shorts and singlets whilst up the cape, but when we stopped in at Blackdown Tablelands on the run home i was glad i had tracky pants, a jumper and beanie in the bag, as i wore the lot to bed that night.
basically i'm saying don't forget about where else you'll be visiting along the way, not just up the tip

Last year the only cold night was at Archer River coming back.

It was freezing not just cold. I've bought a sub zero sleeping bag just for there.

Funny Bert I don't remember it being cold at all that night    ;D

A couple of pieces of warm clothing never go astray on any big trip for those sudden weather changes.

He pinched my quilt when I turned my back. I had a lot of trouble getting it back.
