composite panels

I have searched all over and cannot find it. A while ago someone put up a link to some composite panelling that I asked about as I think I will make some drawers out of it. It was similar thickness to ply but much lighter, anyone got a clue

HI GG,
The suppliers in QLD there are many..
www.styromax.com
(Very thick).

Personally im using Allstarplastics.com.au  (www.allstarplastics.com.au). They have a number of product names, in which i am sure you can search and find a local supplier.
I also note that Peter does ship nationally. (and they are brillant and very well priced..) Huge range of different composites.. The one i am using for my kitchen is celuka board..

I know the stuff GG is taliking about and it is none of them above.  It comes prefinished in various colours and is used to make lightweight cabinets amongst other things.  A cabinet making mate has offered to remake all my cupbord fronts in the camper out of it.

Keep looking the name will turn up soon enough.

If you don't get it by the time you want it pm me and I will call my mate and ask.  There was a thread here as you say with a link as it turned up just after my mate visited and told me that he had been playing around with it.  He has been edgebanding it just like melamine board.

Hi GGPatrol

If you give me your location i can tell you a few suppliers
sas has a special this week on composite panel
but composite only comes in 3mm and 4mm

The product i would recomend is foam board comes in 3/4/6/8/10/12/16/25/30mm
in lots of sheet sizes
screws together like ply and can be glued with pvc glue or silicone
it is really lightweight. But different companies call it different names

I think your in melbourne ?  so try a company ca,,ed plastral fidene or mulford plastics
if you have a problem pm me
why am i so thirsty when i drank so much last night

Most of the good products are used in the sign industry

Forgot to mention foamboard is totally waterproof
comes in lots of colours and can be cut and worked with basic tools

I use it for all cupboards and floors in my canopies

cheers
