Hi

Last two weeks travelled from Oodnadatta track up to Uluru,to Kings Canyon, across Meerenie Loop Road (recently graded) to Hemsnsburg (where stayed a night behind locked gates) to Ormiston and Ellery Creek then on to Alice.  Warm days and cool nights that work well for us. West Macs impressive.  After a few days in Alice off to East McDonnell's.

Flamingo has been pretty good. Few niggles but nothing major. Rivets on upper hinge on lower door gave out and had to have them replaced in Alice. Every now and then a draw or cupboard has popped open.  Given lots of travel in last month off the seal am happy with that.  Had the Hilux serviced today (130,000 km) and all good.  Not a lot of dust in camper although seal on Hilux canopy is poor and are collecting a fair bit of dust under canopy.  We stay under 65-70 kmph when off the seal - and find this is a lot kinder to both the Hilux and the camper.

Last year we had the corner mouldings on the Flamingo roof replaced under warranty. Was a JAYCO recall - some campers had leaks.  As it happened our camper had not leaked but happy to have the new corner mouldings that overlap - orginal corner
mouldings butted together.

We do not worry about using the poles at all for bed flys now. Just use bungy cords to hold in place. Worked well for us even in heavy rain.  Not keen on guy ropes and pegs.  Last month in Centre have not put up bed flys at all - fine every day.
