Thanks Goldie for your reply, but wasn't what I was after.

Now I after researching more threads I am a little but more confused as I have found two different types of bulbs, 20 smd 5050 led and 36 smd led bulbs? A
Can anyone tell explain the difference?

I am thinking of getting these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-Interior-20-SMD-5050-LED-Lamp-Light-Panel-White-12V-/220928106545?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3370576031#ht_1912wt_768

What do you think?

Still confused with LED lights, help please! I can't find the link?
I have tried a few different ones from eBay and have settled for these as they plug straight in and do not use the double sided tape.  I got them in the warm light and the better half has given them the big tick of approval.   The others that were using the tape kept peeling off and becoming loose in the light housing.

From what I have calculated the 5050 work on a multiplication factor of 3 to convert the SMD to compare with the 3258 LED's.  So these were 12 SMD which equates to 36 SMD and they are just a little bit less than the 48 SMD 3258 set that I had.   One of the best mods yet.

Lots of info on google just type in led 5050. I use the 5050 strip lights and find them really good

The difference between SMD5050 and SMD3528 are :

1.SMD3528 inside package  one  light-emitting chip, while the SMD5050 inside package three light-emitting chip package. Therefore, theoretically SMD5050 three times the brightness than SMD3528,But usually not as that high.
2.SMD3528: The reason why it is called SMD3528 ,The dimension of this chip is 35mm * 28mm, power is 0.08W / Pearl

SMD5050: The reason why it is called SMD5050 ,The dimension of this chip is 50mm * 50, power is 0.24w/Pearl
If I can live one day at a time in theory we will be camping tomorrow

This may help you to choose.

With  20 smd 50/50 led is 20x20 lumen=400 lumen
with  36 1210 led         is 36x07 lumen=252 lumen
as you can see they are a 148 lumens brighter and use less power.

What is lumen of your LED products?

Each individual LED                     = 04 Lumen
Each individual 1210 LED             = 07 Lumen
Each individual flux LED               = 08 Lumen
Each individual 5050 LED             = 20 Lumen
Cheers

Hi we ended up just buying the lights from our JAYCO dealer.  Cost more but as we were about to leave on a long trip suited us.  We live in our camper and the LED lights are just great. Very low current draw and we can free camp 7 days plus with one 90 watt solar panel and one 100amp battery

Yep.  They are the same bulb and I have placed one out there.  I bought a set of 10 so that I would  also have some spares.

Hi Greg I bought the 20smd 5050 ones. They are good, really bright. Although I had to move the wire on the plug a little to make it connect, just bent it out a bit, then all is fine. For the amount I paid they are great. :)
