Juts about to purchase a camper trailer and wanted to get some feedback on the best models. Only looking to psend around $5000 and have found a few I think look good. Market direct campers Offroad deluxe V2 is probably where I am leaning at the moment but any help would be appreciated?

Dan, I have no personal experience of MDC, but a few members have them and I can't recall anyone being unhappy. I think all have been realistic about what they bought. It's probably not going to do multiple trips to the Cape, but we buy what we can afford.

Don't discount the 2nd hand market, there are some absolute bargains out there. You'll still spend $5K, but possibly get a camper that has better canvas and maybe fitted out with battery and kitchen etc.

Dan it depends where you intend taking the camper. As big Jules said it may not be strong enough to handle the Cape but weigh up your options.

I bought a tough country 2004 model with the works and very happy with it. Paid $8100.

Spend the $5000 and do your own add ons.

Look at the claasifieds on this site and caravancamping sales. There are some bargains out there and as the others have said, you may get extra bits and pieces with it
