Us. Went there yesterday. Got there at 930 and had the run of the place for a couple of hours.

Heaps of stuff there. Bought a Korr kit, vacuum sealer, some Coleman bits and pieces and wife bought a SheWee.

Went yesterday also

Didn't buy that much, got there about 10.30 so had a pretty good run with the crowds

Always like to go, not necessarily to spend but just to keep up with what's available

Cheers

Went today. Arrived at 9.30 and we got a great parking spot right next to entry. The crowds weren't as bad as we thought it was going to be. Bribed kids to behave, and allowed them to play on jumping castle and have faces painted. Was banned from the husband from spending any money, as have booked a holiday to Cairns at end of year. Only wanted to get a bed bag for the mattress, and most said to order on the internet. So was good and only spent money on entry and 2 coffees. We even took our own lunch to save money. We all had a very enjoyable day, with out spending much.

Went today, about 10:30 before the crowds arrived. Good to look around, but hey who said there is no inflation in this country! Why do we have to pay more this year than last year for products made in China and the Aussie dollar is supposed to buy us 30 percent more than it bought us 4 years ago. Explain that to me Professor Sumner Miller.

We went down yesterday, I was very surprised at how easy it was to park, and get into the event ( first timers).we went to look at pop tops, primarily Jayco Swan and Goldstream Wing. We a looking to buy, but the wife had only ever seen an old Eagle.
I was surprised at her reaction to some of what we saw.. Thought it was gonna cost me as she liked one of the Expanda's.
Anyway, I had a list of stuff to buy, mostly 12volt stuff, bu found what I needed too expensive, I know I have a supplier in Aus, much cheaper...

went today, bought a loo and a few little bits & pieces, i got through the gates @ 9.30 and had a good run until after lunch time when it seemed to instantly become more crowded than a free nike shoe stand in a 3rd world country

I thought that the show was not as good as last year, a few camper trailer brands seemed to be missing and it was same old stuff as last year.

must say i was peeved @ the "special price" on a double shower tent that was reduced from $159 to $99 when friends of ours bought the same tent in the same store as was at the show for $89 only a few weeks ago

oh well we'll go to the maitland show in a few weeks and get what we didn't get today

Our local 4wd businesses have said to me that if we go to the show and see something that we want that is being sold on special that they will match or better the price. That works for me as i would rather support our local businesses and it also means that we don't have to lug lots of stuff around the show all day either!

yeah we r the ones with the cheaper double shower tent....u had to be in the right place at the right time ..... hubby bought one of the Thumper battery packs for the Waeco fridge he is going to put in my Sorento.......... he liked the look of a solar panel light kit for $130 but thought it would be too easy for someone else to take a liking to it as well (it's a crying shame that u have to think like that these days)..... was disappointed that Tassie didn't have a stand there this year but l did get some of the roll up water bottles for free at the Telstra stand ... have only ever seen them advertised at $29 for 4..... only time l have got a freebie l really wanted from Telstra lol... nice day and just started to rain as we left

wife bought a SheWee.

My missus bought one of those.

Word of warning. They take a bit of getting used to.

p.s. the missus doesnt like it when you burst ourt laughing after she pisses herself while using it. Apparently, it takes a bit of getting used to. Dont push too hard.
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

The show has changed a bit over the years. I didn't go last year, and thought it had grown from the year before. One thing stood out to me; the number of new CT manufacturers on display. So many in fact that CTs were spread out over three areas.

The internal displays haven't changed much since the show started.

I love all the gadgets you can only get at a show; the drill bits and nibblers etc.

After googling what a shewee was having a laugh and showing the wife who seemed a bit dubious about it, so i ordered her one off ebay for mothers day from the 2 boys,we can all stand in a line on the side of the road now. Ebay's price was about $22.00 delivered from UK for the extreme.

Went today and got there bang on 9.00am. I was wondering why it was so easy to park and no line up for tickets when I was informed I was 30min early :-[.
The only thing I spent money on was entry and lunch. Was a couple of things that took my eye with what appeared to be some bargins in Kangaroo Tent City but nothing I was after.
Spoke to a NP Ranger for North East SA for info on an upcoming trip but that was about it. Wanted to look at more but had to go at 1.30pm as I needed to be elsewhere for an appointment.

Walked past the shewee stand and had a little chuckle after reading some of the posts above about them.

Went yesterday and possibly again on Sunday. One interesting item - a windscreen repair kit for $30 or 2 for $50 (split with someone nearby :D) We are now on a windscreen #3 in our 2003 LC100, so hopefully this will help a bit.

Bought a 2012 Hema digital map set. $179 but be careful there - the big change is that the included 250K topo maps are now in one massive file, 1.2GB in size. Previously they were supplied as individual maps. It works just fine with OziExplorer proper, but I wonder how this is going to perform on the CE version which is what I have in the dashboard. Hmm... Updated, modern look to the map. Lots of updated and new maps though, good value!

GME also have show discounts if you are after a new radio.
