Well, time for a change of scenery....
« on: April 17, 2012, 03:50:35 PM »
After way too long on the FIFO/DIDO scene Kirsty and I have decided to pull up stumps and relocate to Brisbane.

I will now become a latte sipping corporate junkie in the company head office and Kirsty will be doing something similar.

So to all of you in the SEQ corner of God's Country you might as well start your liver detox diet now as there will be some serious    going on in the not too distant future!!

Start in mid May, but still hunting for a permanent place to live.  Will probably just rent something for 6 months while scouting the market.

Great to hear Symon. ;D Looks like we'll catch up for a few more beers during camping weekends.  :D :D I also hear the rental market is better on the NSW side of the border, cleaner air, clearer water, better tracks. >:D >:D

I vote 'eastside'.

Must be something in the air, although we will be leaving Brisbane for parts north, but a bit further than the Basin, possibly the Isa or East Kimberlies if things go according to plan :cup:

I hope you enjoy your time in the big smoke Symon.

Congrats on the change Symon. I hope it works out well for you both.

As an ex-Brisbanite, I vote for south side, aka the "Keepin' it real" side 8). They keep the latte-sipping X5 drivers north of the river these days. To be honest though, I could quite easily live somewhere bayside, so long as it's near a train line.

Good luck!
Matto :)

Northside. There's only shootings and the Gold Coast on the southside.

And because I need some help with some CT wiring. I pay in beer.
