Contacting Aussie Jays Campers
« on: April 17, 2012, 02:06:35 PM »
Hi All,

New member here, been trolling for a while.

Married with 2 kids (11 & 7). My wife and I are in the process of purchasing our first camper trailer (been a very long time coming !), narrowed it down to probably 3 makes, anyway, have been trying to phone Aussie Jays but the phone keeps ringing out.

Can anyone shed some light ?

Cheers, Scott

There is a thread on page 3 in general discussion regarding a break in there a while ago. Someone reported they were having a little time off up to the 14/4. There appears to be a facebook page that updates are being put up on.
Keep trying them, there are a few happy owners of Aussie Jays campers floating around here.

Thanks Steve.

His campers look awesome and good value. The threads I've read on here have pretty much nailed it for me, just got a few questions, as I'm in Sydney, they're in Melbourne etc....

Aussie jay is having a well deserved break.
We are leaving in 6 days for a life on the road with our Aussie jay camper.
There is a few on here with then who are happy as we are. Their customer support is also exceptional.

We looked at a lot of CT at the big Melbourne show , scoured mags and went to dealers. We bought Aussie jays on the spot and asked for a few mods.
We love ours.

I'm pretty sure Jason's back at work but will be working his butt off again to catch up. I've found email the best way to communicate with them, but I hate talking on the phone!

Hey thanks all for your responses, much appreciated !

Yeah, not worried about the drive down, discussed this with my better half and she's keen as mustard !

All his favourable views by satisfied customers is really pleasing to read, it secures my belief in Aussie Manufacturing !

Can you tell me if his tents are Aussie Canvas ? And is it Dynaproofed ?

I'll drop him an email as I've also read he's had a bit of bad luck lately and as you rightly say, has got bum up and head down getting stuck back into it !

I know his new tents are Aussie canvas, but don't know much more about that.

G'day Scott  Here's one very happy Aussie Jays owner! As others have said, there's a few of us floating around here, and I thinks you'll be hard pressed to find a bad word about them. They are back in the factory after their shocking run of bad luck, I actually rang and spoke to Rebekah only a couple of days ago.
Yes, their tents are now Australian canvas, not sure of the type, and Jay is continually working on and evolving his design of the trailer. If you're on Facebook, check out their page, they post a lot of updates there.
Mate, take a trip down the Hume and have a look for yourself, compare it with other same specced trailers, have a chat with Jay and Rebekah and I reckon you'll be sold!!
Good luck with your camper hunting
Cheers
Matt

Hey Thanks Matt.

I agree with you that his campers seem to far exceed what his competitors offer (going by internet searches).

My wife and I keep coming back to his everytime we "think" we have found an alternative only to be proved wrong when we do a comparison.

Glad to hear the canvas is Aussie made, looks like it's time for a road trip !

Thanks to you all for your responses, again
