Lol when The Voice was being advertised on tv before it started, my MIL also thought it was a show about Johnny Farnham, she got all excited cause she loves him :D

... and they are hardly talent shows when people SMS to win... they are popularity contests.

Popularity competition or not, it is one I prefer to participate in rather than the popularity competition that we are forced to participate in every 3 years to vote in a bunch of self server knuckleheads, i.e. pollies.
