Hmmm... I wonder if Vacation Campers has anything to do with the 'new' Trackabout.

They mentioned they were getting some of the old team back to run the workshop and do the tents...  why do you say that mate?

Went down to trackabout today.
Very nice people, they are still organising things and getting everything in order.
Apparently they have even been reading this thread.
No association.with Vacation at all, and laughed at how rumours are spread.
They seem to have the same passion and drive as John did, so expect the.new owners of trackabout to be just as good as before.
Working out a price with them and hopefully ordering our sv extenda shortly.

Stay tuned.

Gday guys,
this happens to be my first day and first post on myswag!
Im happy to say that am having an offroad camper built starting today from Dave and the crew from Trackabout.
I have opted for the Safari Sv Extender as it has the walkway to the bed but have upgraded alot of fittings to the ones from the Dakar so i guess you could say it is going to be a customized SV Extender.

Build is around 4 to 5 weeks and i cant wait.

Look forward to posting the pics as they build it.

cheers Joey

We just sold our Trackabout. Caravanners now yuck some say, I can handle it im on a camping website. Our Trackabout was a fantastic camper brought a tear to my eye when I said goodbye. Strong and the canvas stayed in good nick.
Always planning our next trip before the current one is over;-)

Very nice , I saw it in johns showroom last year.

It's the model without the walkway tho.

@Dave

I have my tyres ready , just need to get the rims sorted.
