We've played around with a few of these, I may have even piloted one of these home from a mates place after a few too many...  Batteries are generally 38ah and depending on brand range from $150 to $250.
They can take a bit of punishment too, a mates kids flog one around their 5 acre property and its yet to break.

You'll need wheelie bars or leave the jocky wheel down for towing, as they're easy to lift the front wheels up.  Not sure how it would handle a 1 ton load on it though.

How long are you going to leave that thing standard huh. A big deep cell battery or a combustion motor, coupled up to a six speed gearbox, taller gearing, wheelie bars and a nitrous injection system.  ;D

I had no idea what they are worth. Lol actually never seen them before. BUT they do look pretty easy to use?
Maybe at the price that you found it could be worth while?

My jockey wheel is perm mounted to trailer, I don't wanna weld on another bracket for oen of them.
I'd rather make a dolly up.
got some plans for this.. be nice to score a pair of ATV wheels with tyres for nix... might call a mate down Timboon.

Actually that one doesn't look that complicated
Good idea. If you go down that path, try and do a thread on it. I think a heap of people would benefit from it.
