I would be very surprised if their website had anything to do with their on-premise systems, their credit card processing, or anything else relating to personal details. Now, I may very well be wrong, but I wouldn't be concerned.
To be honest, I'd probably prefer that my camper trailer manufacturer was a better welder than an infosec person.
Now - as for the original topic of "does your website being hacked affect consumer perception of your brand", I think you've answered your own question with the Sony incident. The answer is "yes, but people forget quick".
And when I saw your topic, my first thought was the Chinese hackers want their trailers back.
